Course overview

Is this training a legal requirement?
The course itself is not mandatory for all staff. However, the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, in force from 26 October 2024, requires UK employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their workers. This is a proactive duty: employers must anticipate and assess risks, put preventative measures in place, such as policies and training, and address any harassment to prevent it recurring. Training is a practical way to help demonstrate compliance.

Assessment and certificate
Learners complete a short multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course, with a pass mark of 80%. Unlimited retakes are included. On successful completion, they receive a CPD-accredited certificate that can be downloaded or printed at home for free. The certificate is valid indefinitely and can be shared or recorded by employers for compliance purposes. A hard copy can also be requested.
