Course overview
The Chaperones Course provides introductory Level 1 training on the role and responsibilities of a chaperone during medical examinations, particularly intimate examinations. Learners explore patient dignity, consent, confidentiality, communication, record keeping and appropriate procedures before, during and after an examination. The course supports healthcare staff in understanding how to help maintain a safe, respectful and patient-centred environment.
