This course aims to promote the understanding of ageism. This refers to the discrimination of a person due to their age, usually because they are older. This course provides an understanding of how the individual can be aware of such age discrimination issues, and how they can incorporate this into their daily work.

• Understand the main aspects of age discrimination, and the issues many face
• Understand how to create an environment that embraces those of all ages
• Understand those issues that older staff and patients might face
